Lorena Bruner is a former Vice President of Public Policy and Board Member for the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of Virginia State, where she focused on federal education on policy and advocacy for women and families.  She has a background in education, military family advocacy, and local political activism in Stafford County, Virginia. In 2019 and 2023, she ran for local office for Stafford County.

Recently, I proudly stood by my local Voting Registers office, daily. watching you and cheering you on, while collecting the required petitions to become a Congressional candidate. During these last 6 weeks as you arrived to submit your votes early and up to the final election day, we succeeded our goal, we made it together, successfully with our votes to the  finish line.

Unfortunately, our votes were blocked unjustifiable...Despite this , we will come out for the next election with stronger numbers than ever because the power of the people breaking break the wall of  injustice is just right around the corner..
